About Me
No rush. No pursuit of perfection. Just the quiet intention of keeping things slow, simple, and meaningful.
Welcome to Simply Slow.
I started Simply Slow from a desire to create differently—to step away from the pressure of rushing, producing more, and striving for perfection. For me, creativity has always felt most meaningful when it is slow, quiet, and intentional.
Every piece I create is made by hand, with care and patience and love. Whether I’m painting silk, making jewellery, or developing a new design, I allow the process to unfold naturally. I don’t chase perfection; instead, I embrace the unexpected. A brushstroke that moves differently, a subtle variation in colour, or an imperfect line often becomes the most beautiful part of the work.
Inspired by the philosophy of wabi-sabi—the appreciation of imperfection, impermanence, and authenticity, I see these so-called flaws not as mistakes, but as gifts. They are what make each piece unique. They carry the marks of the creative journey and remind us that true beauty is often found in what is imperfect, natural, and real.
Simply Slow is more than a collection of products. It is a reflection of a way of living—one that embraces simplicity, mindfulness, and presence. In a world that constantly encourages us to be faster and more polished, I choose to honour the beauty of slowing down and creating with intention.
Every piece is one of a kind. No two are ever exactly the same, and that is precisely what makes them special. The subtle irregularities, textures, and variations are not flaws to be hidden; they are part of the story. They give each creation its own character, soul, and quiet beauty.
Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade work. I hope these pieces bring a sense of calm to your day and serve as a gentle reminder that perfection is not what makes something beautiful. Sometimes it is the imperfections—the small, unexpected details—that make something truly meaningful.
With warmth,
Naoshin
